This made me fucking cry, not because it’s sad either, but because of how happy she is. You really think that little girl doesn’t know she’s different? She does, and she knows that her life isn’t going to last as long as it should. But I bet you all the money I have that she doesn’t let that get her down. The next time one of you sit there and bitch about how you don’t always get what you want, or how you’re not “good enough”, think about this girl. The caption was “This summer, do you want to be a mermaid or a whale?” The story goes, a woman (of clothing size unknown) answered the following way: “Dear people, whales are always surrounded by friends (dolphins, seals, curious humans), they are sexually active and raise their children with great tenderness. They entertain like crazy with dolphins and eat lots of prawns. They swim all day and travel to fantastic places like Patagonia, the Barents Sea or the coral reefs of Polynesia.
